The four rightmost plants in the green bins fell over on the weekend, the weight of the 4 plants was too much for the angled top string and it snapped. This picture was taken after I solved the problem this morning. I lashed a 2x4 to the deck railing to serve as another post, replaced the top string with a much stronger, plastic wrapped wire and raised up the plants with some new garden twine.

ANDRIUS!
I just checked back in to see if your garden had progressed in the summer! Perhaps we need some new photos, as it is the harvest season. Or maybe some pictures of you eating some of these delicacies?
Either way, I hope your lack in blog posting is because of an abundance of wonder and emotion in your real life.
Cheers!
I just rediscovered that I had/have a blog! I'm starting a bunch of veggie plants in my room in Toronto from seed under lights, with future expansion to a large windowsill. Once I figure out how I used to upload and resize the images I'll post some recent pics!
Hi Andrius, your blog is lovely! I love all the pictures! I was wondering if you could help me out in any way... I planted seeds in a garden bed about a month ago and am now looking at over a dozen healthy plants, but I am confused. I planted tomatoes and eggplant, and have these rather tall (now over 1' each) plants which have many leaves at the top, less along the bottom. I know they are not tomatoes based on the leaves, but I am really confused because it doesn't seem like they look like traditional eggplant plants either. However, (which is how I came across your blog) I see that the "early long purple" variety differ a bit from the traditional eggplant plant, and I was wondering if you could give me some more descriptors as to what your plants looked like while they were growing (if you remember). The plants look healthy so I absolutely know they're not weeds (though I have many in the garden).. but I am really puzzled because they almost look like sunflower plants (the stalks are extremely thick, almost 1/2") Thank you so much!!
