These pictures were taken on June 22nd and June 23rd after returning from a week away at the Re:leaf summer solstice festival which was up in Singhampton, Ontario this year. One of the things I look forward to the most after being away from home is seeing how much my plants have grown- and they sure have grown a lot, especially my tomato plants.
Snow/sugar snap peas (purchased at garden centre, the label on them actually said "sugar or snow peas" which is kind of strange, because snow peas and sugar snap peas are not the same thing. Sugar snap peas are a hybrid between snowpeas and bush beans) - I had to pick a bunch of them immediately since the plants stop producing more blossoms when there are ripe pods on the vine.
The salad box has really bounced back after the intensive harvest a week ago!
Plants overdue to be planted: various sweet and hot peppers and some eggplant
Broccoli and cauliflower plants that should have been planted long ago, the yellowing leaves indicate that they could use some nitrogen, and their small stature and slowed growth is a result of them being rootbound - I will get these to my uncles farm this week and see how they bounce back.
More peppers and eggplant - I will be potting some of these up in 1 cubic square pots to grow on the backyard deck.
tangled tomatoes, many of these are the sprite variety which is determinate (bush type tomato). I still need to find homes for these.
various onion types, red bulbing, yellow sweet bulbing, bunching onions and leeks - going to plant these at my uncles farm.

Cedar tomato support structure that I built 2 years ago. 12 feet tall!
Zapotec, an Heirloom variety developed and passed down by the Zapotec natives of Mexico
SunSugar FT Hybrid - big producer of orange cherry tomatoes - one of the two hybrids I am growing this year, the other one is SuperSweet 100
Woah those are some thick stems!
