Photos were taken today - Monday May 4th 2009, in Oakville, Ontario. Pepper and tomato plants are 6 weeks old started on March 20th under lights and germination heat mat in the basement.

I bought some herb and vegetable plants at the garden center at Fantasy supermarket on Speers Rd. in Oakville They always have a great selection of healthy plants and even though I've started so many of my own I couldn't resist picking up a few I hadn't grown. I got some curly parsley, garden sage, Caribbean Red Habanero, Red Habanero (not sure if its actually different from the Caribbean one), Sweet Red Bell pepper, Sweet Yellow Bell Pepper.

I planted 54 cloves of garlic, 9 to a square foot (3 inch spacings all around) in a 3 ft. x 2 ft. rectangle. I don't know much about the variety - I bought them at Home depot they didn't have a hard center stalk in the head so it is not a hard neck variety.

Snow or Sugar Peas??? (That's what the label says!) I bought these plants at the garden center of Fantasy market on Speers Rd. in Oakville. I have no idea if they are a dwarf variety or will grow massive - I'm starting them off with quite a modest trellis and will expand it if they grow really tall.
